Our ‘How to be an Actionable Ally’ event took place on the 19th March, with just under 600 people registered to attend.
Executive Coaches Claudia Crawley, Jessica Rogers and Obehi Alofoje, (all listed in the Diverse Executive Coach Directory) joined me to discuss the following questions and much more:
- Q1. Why do black colleagues need allies?
- Q2. What does performative allyship look like and what’s the issue with it?
- Q3. What concrete and tangible actions can White colleagues take at work to show that they are an Ally?
We received fabulous feedback:
“Wonderful and thought provoking, thank you. I loved the coaching questions to finish”
“Thank you all, I am feeling very inspired to take this back to my team!”
“Thank you so much to the panel and also for all of the thought-provoking comments and ideas in the chat box. So much to take away and learn from’
Below is the recording of our discussion, we hope that our insights will provide an invaluable and refreshing pause, offer new perspectives and challenge your thinking.
